The countdown is on for what promises to be yet another action-packed Cheshire County Show on June 19th and 20th WORDS BY ROB TICKLE

This years Cheshire County Show is ready to go. Highlights will include a special visit from Her Royal Highness, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, who is coming to see the thousands of livestock, horses and dogs and other attractions.
Show chairman Tony Garnett said: HRH the Countess of Wessex is passionate about agriculture and the countryside and Im delighted that we are able to welcome her to see the excellent work done by the farming community in Cheshire.
Among the highlights will be the first competition class for the Sussex breed cattle at a northern agricultural show and the Pygmy Goat Club National Breed Show which is also in the North for the first time.
We have become one of the biggest county shows in the country, said Nigel Evans, executive director of the show. Whether its the chance get up close to different animals, try a range of mouth-watering foods, or just relax and soak up the glorious Cheshire countryside we pride ourselves on having something for everyone, said Nigel.
As well as the animals other new attractions for 2012 include a 4x4 course in the Countryside Experience Area, sponsored by Gallagher Mitsubishi, where the public can enjoy the thrill of off-road driving.
Katy Cropper, the only woman to win the BBCs One Man and his Dog, will entertain the crowds with her duck and geese herding displays.
Thrills in the main ring will include a heart-stopping display by one of the UKs leading quad bike and motorbike stunt riders, Jason Smyth, and rousing music from the Scots Guard Association Pipe and Drum Band.
In the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre top food experts including TV chefs Nigel Haworth and Brian Mellor and Coronation Street star turned cheese producer Sean Wilson will give cookery demonstrations.
