Cheshire Life and Lancashire Life are joining the organisers of the Inspiring Women Awards and celebrating their 25th anniversary in style.

This year, the North-West’s biggest and most prestigious women’s awards event marks 25 years since Timperley-based business woman Jacqueline Hughes-Lundy founded the event.

And you can be part of the excitement by nominating your own inspiring woman or attending the lunch which is always an elegant, glitzy occasion.

Cheshire Life and its sister magazine Lancashire Life continue to support these Awards as media sponsors. Cheshire Life editor Louise Allen-Taylor said: ‘The event is now a glamorous affair and much bigger then when Jacqueline founded it. But the stories of achievement, courage and fortitude told by nominees is, like that first relatively small occasion, awe-inspiring. When the finalists tell their stories during the lunch, guests are often overwhelmed and deeply moved.’

Many of the finalists have been nominated by our readers who wish to reward women who either drive the local economy, show courage in adversity, bravery or do exceptional community or voluntary work.

The categories for the 2017 Awards are business, sponsored by Deloitte; community, entrepreneur sponsored by Arbuthnot Latham; professional and financial services sponsored by Manchester Metropolitan University and The Inspiring Young Woman Award for those aged between 16-25. Nominations for these categories will close on 31st March 2017. Details of how to nominate and previous winners can be found at www.inspiringawards.co.uk.

To mark 25 years, there will be an ‘Inspiring Women’s Inspiring Woman’ tribute. Past winners will be given the opportunity to nominate their own Inspiring Woman, living or deceased. Once again the panel of judges will need to find just three finalists per category, all of whom will be sharing their stories at the Awards Lunch before celebrity guests announce the winners.

Attend the Awards lunch

The Awards will be announced on 12th May 2017 at the Awards Lunch held at The Midland Hotel, Manchester. Individual tickets: £65+vat or Corporate packages: £830+vat for a table of 10.
