The Hollyoaks actress on strolling in Styal, staying strong and supple in Alderley Edge and her wild nights out in Wilmslow.

To me, home is…

Open fields. Whenever I drive home from work I know I'm close when I see green fields and country lanes. Then I'll be home with my husband, Jon, my little boy Stanley and our pug dog.

Your earliest Cheshire memory?

Driving from our home in Leigh, Greater Manchester over to Macclesfield. I had a meeting with a child modelling agency. I vividly remember looking up at the hills over the town and knowing I'd never been there before.

Where do you head for a health kick?

For weights and resistance training I head to Ultimate Performance in Alderley Edge. I started training with them just before I got married last May. Then if I want the antithesis to all that hardcore effort I'll go next door to The Studio - a lovely yoga centre where I'll do a gentler class or some meditation.

And to indulge?

Every first Sunday of the month we head to The Makers Market in Knutsford. There's a burger stall there called What's Your Beef and it's just incredible. I'll have a double cheeseburger with bacon. And then I get some macaroons for dessert.

Where can you always do some credit card damage?

Runway boutique in Alderley Edge stock jewellery by one of my favourite designers Kim Minchin. I'm obsessed with her earrings and necklaces. I have to stay away otherwise I know I'll definitely buy something. I have quite the collection and I wear everything I have to death.

Most romantic Cheshire moment?

We got married at The Holford Estate in Plumley. Both Jon and I wanted to get married outside and it was just what we'd both envisaged; a gorgeous tree-lined avenue and spring blossom.

If you could move into any building in Cheshire?

One of my favourite walks is from The Carrs Park in Wilmslow up to Quarry Bank Mill in Styal. We'll do it on a weekend, get a coffee either end - Stanley loves it. Quarry Bank House in the grounds of the Styal estate is just so stunning.

The finest view in Cheshire?

It has to be from Quarry Bank Mill again! I did that walk a lot on maternity leave. I'd bundle Stanley in the pram and get us both out the house. Any new mum knows the feeling. You need fresh air and a reality check.

What's your Cheshire beauty secret?

One aesthetic studio in Alderley Edge for their brilliant face peels. Terence Paul salon in Hale for my cut and colour. And I get my nails done by a friend, Ashleigh, from Beauty by Ashleigh.

Where do you like to go wild with friends?

The Symposium in Wilmslow which my on-screen hubby Ashley Taylor Dawson owns. He's really into his live music and they have some great acts. It's always a lot of fun.

Your Cheshire Life in three words…

Convenient. Peaceful. Happy.
