Who or what has been the biggest influence on your business?
My parents have been huge influences, right from the start of my career. They have believed in me without question, and been hugely supportive. I must say, my son remains my biggest motivational drive. I strive for personal achievement but I want him to understand that if you want something you have to believe in yourself to achieve it. My husband is one of my biggest influences today. He is supportive to the end, we work seamlessly together. Every day is a blessing as he has believed in our partnership from the beginning.
Which major national or international brand do you admire and why?
I guess I look up to the obvious business moguls like Sir Richard Branson and Lord Alan Sugar for their huge global achievements. A lot of my admiration is for women like Sarah Willingham, with real life entrepreneurial tales, which gives me inspiration to continue doing what I’m so passionate about.
On the rare occasion you get to go out for lunch with a client where in Cheshire do you head?
Oh, that’s an easy one for me...I don’t ‘lunch’ with clients in my clinic business, but I do in my other international distribution business. We always head to The Lime Tree in Bollington, Its sister is in Didsbury, Manchester. It’s modern British, using locally sourced food, with an elegance to all of its dishes. If you have never been you should go!
If you weren’t earning your living doing this, what would be your dream job?
I do believe that if you cut me in half you would definitely see nursing at my core, however I’ve always fancied being a TV presenter. Perhaps one day I could combine the two!
What do you do on a weekend off?
I do have an extremely busy working week so on weekends off I love to spend time with family and friends. Being with those who know you best, allows you to relax properly.
What’s your favourite holiday location?
I love Italy! I have never visited a part of Italy I didn’t like.
What’s the best book you’ve ever read?
I loved ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ it was fascinating seeing life through the eyes of someone who was so high functioning and on the Aspergers’s spectrum.
Your favourite film and why?
Searching for an intellectual answer...there are many films I’ve loved recently. I love a good Sci-fi like Ex-Machina, Minority Report, films that challenge our reality and force us to think bigger always keep in interested. I’m sucker for good old fashioned ‘feelgoods’ too, like Notting Hill, Dirty Dancing, because they take you away from your day to day and fill you with good vibes!
