Amateur photographers are being asked to get 'snappy' in a photographic competition<br/>at this year's Cheshire County Show.

The show is all about appreciating the fabulous sights, characters and flavours of Cheshire and this year visitors are being asked to photograph their favourite scene from the two-day extravaganza and enter their
images into the competition.

Amateur photographers of any age may enter one photograph taken at this years Cheshire County Show, which will be judged by a panel of judges that include Cheshire Life photographer John Cocks.

The winning entry will receive a years free subscription to Cheshire Life and a family ticket to next years Cheshire County Show. The runner up will also receive a family ticket to next years Cheshire County Show.

A selection of the best entries into the competition will also appear in Cheshire Life in the autumn.

Nigel Evans, Executive Director of the Cheshire County Show, said: We are really excited to be running this competition with the support of Cheshire Life and I cant wait to see all the fantastic photos that visitors to the show will no doubt take.

Each entrant may submit one photograph and only a high resolution electronic image sent via email or on a disc will be considered. The closing date for entries is Friday, July 30.

Each entry should be marked with name, address, contact telephone number (both daytime and evening) and where in the showground the photo was taken.

No entries can be returned. The organisers accept no responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post.

All entries will be judged by a panel of judges. In the event of a tie John Cocks will have the deciding vote.

The judges decisions will be final and no correspondence can be entered into.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.

Prior to submission, entrants must not have offered any of their entries for sale, been paid for any publication of any of their entries or won or been a runner up in any other photographic competition with any of their entries.
