Wirral Rugby Club held its 75th anniversary dinner at their headquarters in Thornton Common Road, Clatterbridge. Over 400 members, many travelling from overseas, gathered to raise a glass to the past and future at the men-only black tie event.

Wirral Rugby Club held its 75th anniversary dinner at their headquarters in Thornton Common Road, Clatterbridge. Over 400 members, many travelling from overseas, gathered to raise a glass to the past and future at the men-only black tie event.


Several founder members, now in their nineties, were among the guests. Popular television comedian Ted Robbins was the MC for the evening and the speaker was international rugby referee Chris Whyte.
