The Cheshire Lieutenancy and Sir William and Lady Bromley-Davenport hosted a reception at Capesthorne Hall in honour of Viscount Ashbrook who has stood down as Vice Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire.

Viscount Ashbrook has been succeeded by businesswoman Joelle Warren, from Alsager.

Cheshires Lord Lieutenant David Briggs said: I am delighted that Jolle Warren has accepted this important appointment. She brings with her considerable experience and skills from the commercial world and a significant knowledge of, and commitment, to the voluntary sector.

She is, as a result, ideally qualified to help me in the achievement of my aim to act as a bridge between businesses and charities and to ensure that the Cheshire Lieutenancy adds value to our community.

Mrs Warren, who is married to a headteacher and has two sons, is executive chairman of Warren Partners, the UK-wide executive search business based in Cheshire, and has been involved in a number of activities in the voluntary sector for many years.

She said: It is a huge honour to have been invited to serve in this way. I am excited by the prospect of combining my passion for businesses connecting with their local communities with the contacts I have within the commercial world, to help people in Cheshire.
