The Celebrity Grilling event, held at the Restaurant Bar and Grill in Manchester, was hosted by Angus Deayton and, amazingly, over 65,000 was raised.
The girls group, Team Knife, was captained by entrepreneur Michelle Mone OBE while Team Fork, was headed up by entertainer Christopher Biggins. They were joined by team mates from the acting world.
The chaps - Team Fork - were the winners. Didsbury-based celebrity chef, Simon Rimmer, oversaw the action. Maurice Watkins CBE, chairman of Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital Charity said: The money will help to ensure continued excellence in treatment, care and research, improving the lives of thousands of children each year across the north west and beyond.
