April 20th to 21st Colwyn Forties Festival of Food
Celebrating Colwyn Bays role in World War II as the headquarters of the Ministry of Food for the UK, this festival brings 40s style music, memorabilia heritage tours, a life-size replica Spitfire, ration book cookery demonstrations and local food producers. Ballroom Blitz, a 1940s style dance, should be the highlight.
April 21st Thundersprint 2013
The motorcycling festival, usually held in Northwich, is to be held at the Anglesey Circuit for the first time in its 15-year history with the best classic riders in the world and their bikes in action. Dont miss Rolo, who were told is the worlds most intelligent sheep, (shes named after her favourite confectionary), showing her duck herding skills.

April 26th Stephen Venables: The Everest Story
Stephen Venables, an Everest mountaineer, tells of his epic expedition of the worlds highest mountain to mark the 60th anniversary of the first ascent of Everest.
May 4th Wales Coast Path 1st anniversary walk
Celebrate the first anniversary of the All Wales Coastal Path by taking either a five-mile walk from Rhyl to Prestatyn or a 10-mile walk from Mostyn to Prestatyn.
May 4th to 6th Llandudno Transport Festival 2013
The largest Transport Festival in Wales, held in conjunction with the Victorian Extravaganza, brings costume, vintage fairground and various attractions to Conwy, as part of an annual celebration of transport and entertainment. A highlight is the Extravaganza street parade, where festival entrants join walkers in costume, cyclists, marching bands, entertainers and traction engines to circle the town.
May 11th The Bala Challenge Charity Walks
Take a range of walks around Lake Bala to raise money for a good cause, or just enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Bala & Penllyn Rotary Club, organisers of the challenge, will be supporting charities and good causes, such as North Wales Air Ambulance and the Mountain Rescue Service.

Welsh Highland Railway Societys Rail Ale Festival
The ninth Rail Ale Festival provides a wide selection of real ales from Wales, Welsh cider and perry and a Welsh-brewed lager. The Goods Shed at the Dinas railway station will be transformed into a bar and music venue, where local bands Y Moniars, The Rough Shunters and the Wee Bag Band will perform.
May 18th to 19th
Climb Mount Snowdon to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre. In five years, over 750,000 has been raised for prostate cancer research; but organisers of this challenge want to raise 1m by May 2014.
May 19th Snowdonia Slateman Triathlon
First in the 2013 series of events, which also includes the Anglesey Sandman and the Snowman Triathlons, is brought to Llanberis. It has two race options: the Full Slateman (1000m swim; 51km cycle; 11km run) or the Slateman Sprint (400m swim; 20km cycle; 6km run).
May 25th to 26th Kaya Festival
Kaya is a World Music Festival, in the Vaynol Estate, which offers African, Jamaican and Caribbean music alongside food stalls and activities. The festival is supporting AngleseyLeukaemia and Lymphoma Research for Wales and SOS Childrens Villages.

A Midsummer Nights Dream
Bring a picnic and enjoy an evening performance of Shakespeares comedy by Taking Flight Theatre Company at Loggerheads Country Park.
June 5th to 8th Three Castles Welsh Classic Trial
Llandudno plays host to the Three Castles Welsh Classic Trial, which sees competitors enjoy three days of rallying in North Wales. Around 450 miles will be covered by 125 cars travelling over scenic rally roads.

Starts June 15th
One of the oldest and most extreme multi-sport endurance races in the world combines sailing, running and cycling from Barmouth, up the west coast of the UK, to Fort William. Competitors will climb the highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland as part of the challenge.

Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod
One of the worlds most inspirational cultural festivals brings six days of music and folk dance to Llangollen for its 67th year. The event combines competitions, performances and international peace and friendship with over 4,000 performers.
Wiggle Etape Cymru 2013
Voted the Top UK Sportive in 2012, this 92-mile bike ride, on closed roads, starts at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse in Wrexham.
The route passes through the Clwydian Range and includes well-known climbs, such as the infamous Horseshoe Pass. Event ambassador and Olympic Gold medallist Geraint Thomas knows the area well: My home country of Wales makes me feel so lucky to be a cyclist. North Wales, in particular, is a really special area with quiet roads, tough climbs and the reward of spectacular views.
