Thornton Manor was the elegant backdrop for the annual Age UK Wirral Candlelit Ball. More than 150 guests helped to raised around £10,000 at the special event which included entertainment from To the Max, as well as a champagne reception.

More than 150 guests helped to raised around 10,000 at the special event which included entertainment from To the Max, as well as a champagne reception, four course dinner and an auction with prizes including art work and special dining experiences.
The money will be donated to the charitys recently launched Meadowcroft Appeal which will transform a building into a ten-bedroom respite centre for dementia patients.
