It was an evening of sunshine, polo and good food when the award-winning Oakmere country house hotel, Nunsmere Hall, hosted a gourmet dinner to mark the end of the Talented Young Chef season.

It was an evening of sunshine, polo and good food when the award-winning Oakmere country house hotel, Nunsmere Hall, hosted a gourmet dinner to mark the end of the Talented Young Chef season.


Over 160 guests enjoyed an exciting evening of exhibition polo in the summer sunshine at Cheshire Polo ground before sitting down to a 5 course dinner prepared by Nunsmere Young Chef, Jacob Foster and hosted by Pavlina Opaskova.


Talented Young Chef dinners are an initiative which allow participating restaurants to nominate a young chef and host to demonstrate their drive and passion for excellent food and service. The young people take on the mantle of Head Chef and matre dhtel for the evening having previously costed, planned and produced their signature dishes using local produce, culminating in the best dishes of the series being recreated at the celebration Gourmet Dinner.


Built in 1900, Nunsmere Hall is at the centre of a 100 acre estate surrounded on three sides by a 60 acre lake is the former home of shipping tycoon Sir Aubrey Brocklebank.
