Record-breaking Paralympian Sarah Storey and her husband, fellow athlete Barney Storey, were the guests of honour at a celebration dinner marking 100 years of education at the site of Manchester Metropolitan University Cheshire, in Crewe.

Record-breaking Paralympian Sarah Storey and her husband, fellow athlete Barney Storey, were the guests of honour at a celebration dinner marking 100 years of education at the site of Manchester Metropolitan University Cheshire, in Crewe.


The super medal-winning athletes, from Stockport, were joined by guests including Cllr Dorothy Fludd, Cheshire East deputy mayor, the Reverend David Edwards and his wife Linda, PCT Chief Executive John Dunning, staff and governors. Entertainment came from Contemporary Arts students and graduates from the university in period dress. The evening ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
