The event was a celebration of the Lady Taverners silver anniversary and the timing coincided with similar parties around the world. It was also the last event that Lori Wilkins Parker would host as chairman of Cheshire and North Waless Lady Taverners. Over 5,000 was raised and the occasion was sponsored by B and M and Emma Herridge hair and beauty.

Lori said:I have had five wonderful years as chairperson and we have done some lovely events. The nicest part of the role has been visiting schools and meeting the teachers and children we are able to help with our minibuses, sports equipment, sensory rooms and all-weather cricket pitches. But Im leaving the committee in the good hands of Tracy Warrington.
