SEVEN-piece dance band 'Jazz It Up!' are making a welcome return to the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool this Christmas.

SEVEN-piece dance band Jazz It Up! are making a welcome return to the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool this Christmas.

The popular band will be serving up a festive lunchtime concert packed with classic Christmas tunes from greats such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald.

The bands traditional festive programme has always proved to be a hugely popular lunchtime event in the run up to Christmas with hundreds of concert-goers expected to head for the festive daytime show.

Audiences will be treated to cool yuletide music in a swing band/jazz style with tunes including Sleigh Ride, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Let It Snow, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, and The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire).

Double bass player Nigel Dufty will be joined by pianist Simon Emery and a line up of Jazz It Up! musicians including vocals, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and drums.

The lunchtime concert takes place on Thursday, December 20, at 1.05pm, in the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool, and lasts for 45 minutes.
