More than 300 people attended the Hopes, Dreams and Promises Ball at Chester Racecourse and raised 33,300 for Hope House and Ty Gobaith childrens hospices which care for terminally ill children and their families from across Cheshire, Shropshire and Wales.
Guests at the black tie event, sponsored by HSBC Bank and DTM Legal, enjoyed a three-course meal followed by an auction, raffle, entertainment from a live band and a midnight draw for 2,000 of vouchers to spend with jewellers Waltons of Chester.
Simi Epstein, fundraising director at the hospices, said: It was an incredible success which raised a phenomenal amount of money. This funding is vital to support our work with terminally ill children and their families.
