Parents and teachers at Hillcrest Grammar School returned to Britains finest hour at a glamorous 1940s event at the Alma Lodge Hotel. The old style dinner dance marked Hillcrests 70th anniversary, the school originally opening in Hillcrest Road, Bramhall in 1940.
Although Britain was under the shadow of invasion, it was an era of community spirit and wonderful parties.
Hillcrest Grammar School Headmaster Jack Williams said: It was a marvellous night and a wonderful tribute to our grandparents generation to whom we all owe so much.
