North Wales residents looking for a piece of Jubilee action have plenty of events to choose from

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will visit North Wales on June 11, arriving at Llanfairpwll station. They will visit a crafts exhibition at Beaumaris Castle, attend a thanksgiving service at Bangor Cathedral, a lunch at Penrhyn Castle, and a sports event at Colwyn Bay.



Monday June 4, 11am-5pm, Precinct Way car park. Live acts, vintage vehicle display, a 1950s themed fairground and stalls. There will also be bus tours of the town. For information, contact Buckley Town Council on 01244 544540 or visit www.buckleytc.org.uk.

Monday June 4, 9.45am, Llanddulas beach. Take in the views of the countryside on a walk up to Llysfaen before heading back to Llanddulas for Party in the Park. Free admission. For information call Jenny Towill on 01492 575543.

Moel Famau
Monday June 4, 10pm. Denbighshire County Council and Flintshire County Council, together with North East Wales Search and Rescue Team is establishing an anchor beacon at the Jubilee Tower a monument built in 1810 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of King George III at the top of Moel Famau. Tuesday June 5, 10am -6pm High Street. Vintage car rally, childrens rides, food and craft stalls and performances from lively bands are just some of the attractions. There will be a tea dance in Daniel Owen Square. For details contact Cllr Tim Maunders on 07972345411.

Monday June 4, 10.30am onwards, High Street. Organised by Prestatyn Business Forum, the event will feature live bands (1pm-8pm), childrens attractions and a car show. Contact Steve Johnson on 01745 889473.

St Asaph
Monday June 4, 11am, Roe Plas Meadows. Celebrating its city status conferred as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations this will feature fairground rides, fancy dress and a DJ as well as a choir, bands, hog roast and treasure hunt.
