Hundreds of people enjoyed the sun at a garden party that raised more than 6,000 for ABF The Soldiers Charity. The event, held at Crewe Hill in Farndon by kind permission of Michael Trevor-Barnston, included music performed by the Lancashire Artillery (V) band as well as a curry buffet lunch made by chefs in the First Battalion of the Royal Welsh who had recently returned from Afghanistan.

Support was also given from the Cheshire Army Cadet Force at the party, organised by the ABF The Soldiers Charity Chester and Wirral Appeals Committee.
