More than 2,000 supporters turned out to watch star-studded Bosh Legends and England Legends teams play out a thrilling 36-36 draw. It was followed by a glittering black tie dinner in a stylish marquee ballroom at the clubs Beechwood ground at Lymm RFC.

In a moving speech, Alex, 37, who lives in Lymm with his wife, Antonia, and three young children, thanked his international player friends, family and club for their support in speeding his recovery and their help in raising more than 40,000 for a string of charities, including one that helps injured players.
