A galaxy of star names attended A Fashionable Evening with Amanda Wakeley at Manchesters Midland Hotel in support of the Royal Exchange Theatre.

Theatre patrons mingled with well known faces, including actors Shobna Gulati, Sue Jenkins and Ian Poulson-Davies, hairdresser Andrew Collinge and Amanda Wakeley.

The auction and raffle, which included a creation by Chester-born Amanda Wakeley, raised over 15,000 for the charity.

Guests were entertained by host Justin Moorhouse and Ted Robbins, who led the auction and Amanda who showcased her Spring/Summer catwalk creations.

Marla Cunningham, development director at the Royal Exchange, said: We are delighted with how the evening went - all the guests seemed to enjoy themselves and we raised a fantastic amount for the theatre.
