Wirral Hospice St John’s held their spectacular Snow and Ice Christmas gala dinner at Thornton Manor. Attended by over 130 guests and the Lord Lieutenant for Merseyside, Dame Lorna Muirhead DBE, the event was compered by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Roger Phillips and raised almost £40,000. The money, funded through a prize draw and auction of luxury items and artwork, will be used to provide specialist palliative care and comfort to its patients and their families, carers and loved ones.

Guests enjoyed a champagne reception in the Great Hall, sponsored by Liverpool’s Panoramic 34 Restaurant, followed by four courses of fine dining and seasonal entertainment from Liverpool Chamber Choir and Upton Hall School Chamber Choir.
