Celebrating 100 years, today, Moorcroft leads the world of art pottery with its own distinctive design style.

With added value coming from the skills and craftsmanship of a dedicated workforce, Moorcroft is selling more of its magnificent ware all over the world today, than ever before. Originally founded as a studio in 1897 within a ceramic company, James Macintyre & Co, Moorcroft pottery soon made its mark on the world. Designs came from 24 year old William Moorcroft but in 1913 the department closed and William marched his workforce across Cobridge Park to a new factory in Sandbach Road where Moorcroft pottery is still made today.

If you wish to visit us in person the Moorcroft Heritage Visitor Centre in Stoke-on-Trent is home to our retail shop, museum and grade II listed bottle kiln that proudly soars into the Staffordshire skyline. There are many new designs that find themselves into the Heritage Visitor Centre that cannot be acquired anywhere else in the world including rare trials and the acclaimed ‘Design Portfolio’. For the Centenary year much has been prepared for art pottery enthusiasts and tourists alike with not only a Coronation Collection, a collection inspired by the Stoke-on-Trent City Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2013 (Chelsea, like Moorcroft, are also celebrating their own Centenary this year) but also an outstanding Legacy Collection which comes complete with a Centenary backstamp making each piece highly collectable.
