King's School Sixth Form students turned on the style for a night of Hollywood glamour and animal antics with a record-breaking fashion show in aid of The Christie Hospital.

The young models donned both the latest styles and more comical animal costumes to wow a packed Main Hall at Cumberland Street in Macclesfield.

The fashion show attracted a sell-out audience and raised £3,727 for The Christie Hospital with the models parading down the catwalk to a backdrop of screen legends.

Organiser Brogan Gallagher said: ‘We have been working on the show for three months and that hard work certainly paid dividends with the kind of night that I think we will all remember for the rest of our lives. Many of us have already been touched by the effects of cancer and deeply appreciate having such a world class centre of excellence in the region.’

King’s would like to thank leading local retailers Celebrity Closet, Bellisimo Boutique, Best Man, SOS Bramhall, John Douglas and Vicki Martin for kindly donating clothes for the event.
