In support of the ‘Light for Every Childhood’ NSPCC Christmas appeal, the charity’s East Cheshire committee held a festive lunch and shopping day at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa.

A Christmas wreath-making class with award-winning florist Heather Rodgers offered tips for creating wreaths for the home and after lunch guests enjoyed watching Anna-Liisa Evans of Springbank Flowers, demonstrate how to make impressive ‘Christmas at Home’ arrangements. A raffle and auction helped raise substantial funds for the charity. The money will be spent in the East Cheshire area and will go towards answering more NSPCC Helpline calls and helping to shine a light on children who are suffering from neglect and abuse. u
