More than 460 people attended the glamorous event, including Les Dennis and former Coronation Street star and charity patron, Charlie Lawson. A record-breaking £77,000 was raised through auctions, which included a £3,000 diamond pendant donated by P.R. Jones Jewellers.
Among several moving speeches during the evening was one from Carl Lamptey, whose wife, Sarah, died last December at the hospice. Carl told guests that he was deeply grateful for all the care given to his wife. He also thanked staff for all the help and support given to him and Sarah’s family over the last year.
