A winning display

Finalists of the Cheshire Life Landscape Artist of the Year 2016 competition gathered at Attitude Gallery in Congleton for the thrill of seeing their work displayed.

It was also a chance to chat with fellow artists and meet judges of the competition: Attitude owners Sharon and Chris Eversfield and arts writer Michael Escolme. Cheshire Life editor Louise Allen-Taylor was delighted by the standard of the submitted entries. She said: ‘We are so impressed by the artwork we’ve seen. There’s clearly plenty of artistic talent in the county. To see it displayed so beautifully is a treat.’ She also thanked the judges, particularly Sharon and Chris for their hospitality during the evening.

After the drinks, nibbles and conversation, finalists and guests drifted away, leaving the judges to deliberate and make their decision.
