Peace, love and all things 1960's was the theme of the Cheshire Young Farmers' Dairy Queen Flower Power Ball.

The Summer of Love anniversary inspired the lively event hosted by Cheshire YFC Dairy Queen Lisa Oakes and her dairy maids Catherine Bull and Hannah Crawford. It
was held, by kind permission of the Oakes family, at Birch Hall Farm, Lach Dennis.

Over 400 young farmers attended and proceeds, along with the sale of a Cheshire YFC charity recipe book created earlier in the year, came to over £14,000. The money was donated to Cheshire Agricultural Chaplaincy to help farmers, their families and the rural community in times of need.

Lisa Oakes said: ‘It has been an honour to be an ambassador for Cheshire YFC this year with Catherine and Hannah. We were thrilled to see so many people dressed in their flares, frills and flowers! A massive thank you must go to everyone who has sponsored and supported the three of us during the year.’
