One of the finest gardens in Cheshire attracts photographers as well as plant lovers.

Abbeywood Gardens, nestling in the Delamere countryside, stretches across 45 acres with a wide range of features that match any country estate in Cheshire.

The Rowlinson family take pride in the beautiful gardens they have created at their home since they acquired the estate over twenty years ago.

There’s a wildlife walk that takes you through acres of mature and newly-planted woodland and a seven-acre arboretum with rare deciduous and evergreen tree species and both formal and informal gardens.

You can take also in the stunning views of the Utkinton Hills and peek inside Jane’s Garden, an area transformed by Jane Rowlinson in 2000 from an overgrown woodland to an area packed with rare trees and shrubs.

While you’re there you can always stop by the ever-popular Garden Café, which has a range of top quality food available, from afternoon tea to special Vegetable and Cutting Garden menus.
