Our readers share their photos from an often overlooked part of Cheshire

The grounds of Arley Hall are a popular visitor attraction in Cheshire, but the estate used to be a lot larger than it is now. The village of Great Budworth was part of the estate owned by the Warburton family up until the middle of the 20th century, in fact, in medieval times residents would have to pay rent to nthe estate.

The area between Arley and the pretty little village are fantastic for walking and photography, and the nearby Budworth Mere is the home venue for the Budworth Sailing Club so there plenty of opportunities to take some shots of sailing in action or reflective shots across the waters.

While you’re visiting, don’t forget to pay a visit to the famous George and Dragon pub for good food and ale.

Why don’t you upload your images of Great Budworth to the reader photo gallery?
