With the stylish shops and restaurants and the multi-million pound properties it’s easy to associate Alderley Edge with glitz and glamour rather than natural beauty, but the reason why this village is one of the most desirabole places to live in the UK is beacuse of the beautiful countrysidde that surrounds it.
The dramatic red sandstone escarpment at The Edge is a popular visiting spot due to the dramatic views of the Cheshire Plain and even as far as the Peak District on a clear day.
The trees on the south side of The Edge limit the complete panoramic view from this point, but the woodland can also be a good subject matter for photos.
