How many of these local landmarks can you recognise?

Many people will be hoping for a White Christmas this year, none more so than the keen photographer.

Crystal clear light resulting from the rapid passage of weather fronts combined with below freezing temperatures can produce some of the most pleasing conditions for the making of photographs. In the countryside, ‘hoar-frost’ coats everything it settles on and transforms the landscape into a magical winter winterland.

And in our towns and villages there are not many sights that are prettier than an urban landscape that is covered in a blanket of untrodden snow. Our famous landmarks become almost unrecognisable and wouldn’t look out of place adorning the front of a Christmas card.

We’ve selected a few seasonal photos from previous years to see if you can pass our Cheshire snow photo test. If you would like to upload your photos of Cheshire in the Snow – go to our reader photo gallery.
