The standard of home cooking in Cheshire is about to lift itself to a whole new level, judging by the enthusiasm of some of the countys finest and not so finest amateur chefs and domestic cooks. The Cheshire Cookery School threw open its front doors, oven doors and pans late in June and welcomed more than 200 budding chefs, cooks and home diners to its headquarters in Altrincham for tastings, cookery demonstrations and a sample of cookery courses to come.
The Cheshire Cookery School isnt just about giving skills to people who would otherwise normally even burn water; its for expert chefs who want to take themselves ever-closer to something that might just pass as Michelin star food, said owner Andrew Warnes.
