318 London Road, Hazel Grove, SK7 4RF, 0161 483 9605
This place has to be my number one, its just around the corner from where I grew up and it is like a little bit of Italy in The Grove. This is restaurant run by an Italian family - no fake accents here. There is loads of Italian football memorabilia on the walls and of course, most importantly, the food is superb authentic Italian cooking. The pasta is amazing, easily my favourite restaurant.
Forest Road, Little Budworth, CW5 9ES, 01829 760292
Cabbage Halls just off the A49 near Tarporley and the gaffer is chef patron Robert Kisby. They have won three regional awards and a best newcomer nomination in the 2008 Northern Hospitality Awards and we went for a very posh lunch. We had luxury fish and chips which, at 17 a pop, was expensive but well worth it. Its a lovely setting too, especially if its sunny as you can sit out in the amazing grounds and enjoy your food. Well worth a visit.
Castle Street, Castlefield, Manchester, M3 4LZ, 0161 839 9818
This is in a great setting. I love this place not only for the great food but for its history because it actually used to be a shed, owned by Albert! There are loads of pictures all over the walls of the sheds transformation. I can remember it when it was that shed. I had the Sunday lunch and let me tell you, my mum does the best Sunday lunch ever, but Alberts Shed comes second. Thats a real honour.
Spring Gardens, Manchester, M2 2BG, 0161 832 1400
This is the celeb-hangout in Manchester and well worth a visit if you want to impress the other half. Theres always a footballer or someone off the television in there. There is great Italian food, they look after you and make you feel a bit posh. If you fancy splashing out try the Tonno Alla Puttanesca, tuna to me and you, its lovely.

Nobin is a cracking little Indian restaurant in Hazel Grove on London Road. Its the first place I ever tasted a curry back in 1990. They give great service, have friendly staff and they have won loads of awards, including Best Curry House, over the years. You can even enjoy a Christmas Day curry here. I love it!
