The nominations for the 2014 North Wales Hospitality/Dining Excellence Award. The winner announced at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester, on Monday October 27th 2014

Plas Bodegroes, Pwllheli
Chris and Gunna Chown’s country house between the Llyn Peninsula’s ‘capital’, Pwllheli, and Abersoch has long been a favourite of Cheshire folk. Quality ingredients like seafood from Cardigan Bay and Nefyn, saltmarsh lamb and Welsh Black beef create exceptional results and the skill in the kitchen maintains the restaurant’s status in Wales’ top five.

HIGHLY COMMENDED
Seahorse, Llandudno
Don and Gill Hadwin’s charming restaurant and bistro has been delighting locals and tourists since opening a decade ago. Having family in the Scottish fishing community led to Don’s passion for catching and serving fresh fish and seafood and the Seahorse menu reflects the quality of local supplies. The best Welsh lamb and beef also feature.

St Tudno Hotel, Llandudno
During the 40-plus years since Martin Bland and his late wife Janette opened this delightful hotel on Llandudno seafront, St Tudno’s award winning Terrace Restaurant has been consistently recognised for its ambience, wonderful food and drink and outstanding service. Two AA Rosettes avow the quality and skill at work in the kitchen.
