The Italian Club Fish, city centre - WINNER
Maurizio Pellegrini and Rosaria Crolla’s ‘fish caffé’, sister restaurant to their Italian Club further down Bold Street, presents a menu of fish dishes marrying British and Italian styles heavily influenced by the couple’s Scottish-Italian background. Hence antipasti and pasta and risotto dishes showcase a commendably wide variety of fish and shellfish in addition to specials and featured grilled fish of the day
Puschka, city centre
Meticulously sourced ingredients from the Wirral, the Lake District and local suppliers underpin a short but daring and sophisticated menu reliant on a range of expertly executed cooking techniques. All this comes within a startling riot of fuchsia pink decor with bohemian floral cushions; the atmosphere is welcoming and the service friendly and knowledgeable.
Santino, Mossley Hill
A relative newcomer to Liverpool’s dining scene, this delicious slice of southern Italy has swiftly established itself as a favourite. The menu is authentic Italian featuring dishes prepared with flair and passion from the highest quality ingredients delivered fresh every day, complimented by a great choice of wine and beers. Families are made to feel very welcome by Santino’s friendly staff amid its warm and intimate ambience.
