A Christmas concert held in the elegant surroundings of Capesthorne Hall raised 5000 for the NSPCC.

Entertainment was provided by musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Bollington Festival Choir. Over 130 guests attended the event which was sponsored by Oliver Valves.
