Crewe ball raises cash

A charity ball at Crewe Hall raised £6,500 for Mid Cheshire Hospital and Kidneys for Life.

The event was organised by Cefin Barton, an orthopaedic surgeon at Mid Cheshire Hospital, and Des Johnson, MD of NLH Deliveries in Crewe, who will be cycling from Venice to Rome to raise further money for Kidneys for Life. Kidneys for Life fund research into kidney disease, transplantation, dialysis and related diseases affecting the kidney. Over 150 people enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a three course meal, raffle and auction. Entertainment was provided by DJ Jonny Spangles, who had everyone up on the dancefloor.
