Our readers capture this pretty part of Warrington.

Warrington may be a busy and constantly expanding town, but there are a few local green spaces and waterways to find some tranquillity in what many still regard as a conurbation of offices and business parks.

First of all, there’s the Grade II listed Walton Hall in Higher Walton, the extensive garden and grounds are a favourite among locals, whether it’s a day out with the family or a spot to relax in the summer sun, the grounds are always busy.

Walton also has a couple of famous waterways within its boundaries, there’s the Manchester Ship Canal that separates Walton from Stockton Heath, the canal heads east through neighbouring Thelwall and towards Manchester, heading west it meets the River Mersey at Runcorn.

The Bridgewater Canal snakes through the centre of Walton with many listed bridges of historical importance along its route, this heads south towards Moore and Daresbury.

Why don’t you upload your images of Walton and Warrington to the reader photo gallery?
