Cheshire Life

Cheshire Life is the county’s favourite magazine. Its stunning photography and outstanding features make it a compelling read and Archant Life’s continued investment in good journalism provides its advertisers with a growing audience. Its most recent ABC audited annual circulation figure was 17,933 (Jan to Dec 2007).

Research has revealed a remarkable level of brand loyalty among Cheshire Life readers with many of them born and bred in the county or having a longstanding link to Cheshire.

They fall into higher income brackets and fit the following lifestyle groups:

Symbols of Success - people are well set in their careers and their incomes have risen far into upper Income Tax range

Suburban Comfort - people have established themselves and their families in comfortable homes in mature suburbs. Children are becoming independent, work is less of a challenge.

Rural aspirations - people live deep in the countryside in small communities. Despite the mix of incomes, most people own their homes and there is substantial hidden wealth.

The county of Cheshire

The county of Cheshire was first established in 980 AD and today has grown to a population of more than 674,000 (2001 Census). The county covers 804 square miles and mostly consists of small towns, villages and hamlets plus the Roman walled city of Chester, industrial towns like Northwich and Crewe, commuter towns such as Wilmslow and market towns like Nantwich.

Cheshire Life extends to the traditional historic shire county, which ranges from the Dee to the Mersey and includes both the Wirral and the area around Stockport; circulation extends to North Derbyshire, North Staffordshire, North Shropshire, North Wales and the cities of Manchester and Liverpool.

From the buzz of city life to outdoor activities, country walks and canal boat breaks to archaeological and historical riches, the county has something to offer everyone.
