Cheshire blooms again
WHEN people ask me, and they often do, ‘what’s so great about Cheshire in July?’ I tell them try a little ‘T’ and ‘N’. No it’s not yet another Cheshire cocktail to go with your G and T. It stands for Tatton and Nantwich and two of the finest days out you will find anywhere this summer.
Tatton of course is home to the RHS Flower Show, a horticultural extravaganza which to my mind for imagination and inspiration beats the best that its southern rivals, Chelsea and Hampton Court, can offer.
July is the time for the Nantwich Show, the finest cheese fest anywhere, and a proper agricultural show, with real animals, real Cheshire farmers, and farmers’ daughters with pink cheeks like something out of Cider with Rosie.
Both shows give Cheshire Life the chance to take more stunning photographs for your delectation which will, of course, add lustre to later editions of your favourite county magazine.
But did you know you can now buy Cheshire Life photographs online? To order a photograph, go to www.cheshirelife.co.uk and click on the link to ‘buy our beautiful pictures’ and then search for photographs by keyword or date range.
Or just pick a link and browse through our gallery of photographs for sale. More details can be found on page 302 of this issue.
Go on, give it a try.
