T is with great pleasure that we welcome all our visitors to Nantwich and South Cheshire Show 2007. We cannot predict the weather we will have on the day, we have experienced the floods of 2001 and the heat wave of 2006 in recent years, but what we can say is that you will find a show of great diversity and interest to everyone, whatever the weather.
This year further changes have been made to improve the facilities for our visitors and we can now see:
• A newly positioned and enlarged public food court with ringside seating to enjoy events whilst you eat and drink.
• A newly positioned Chronicle Town and Country Marquee which, in its new main ringside location, further enhances its role at the show.
• The renowned cheese marquee is now enlarged yet again and will be staged in a 40m wide structure to enable it to hold the record entries of over 2,000 from some 24 countries, and the record trade exhibits. So from Cheshire, to Wensleydale, to Stilton, to cheese with marmalade! There is truly something for everyone’s taste.
• The metal roadway which has been so successful is likewise extended to over one mile and enables the show to ensure its viability whatever the weather.
• This year will also see our Cheese Garden Area being incorporated within the Cheshire County Council stand and we look forward to their increased involvement at our show.
• A Main Ring Grandstand for ringside viewing some ten hours continuous performances.
• A new disabled parking facility, with shuttle buses running throughout the day directly onto the showground. Thanks to CCC for their support of this new facility.
