The kitchen is often called the hub of a household and this is very true at a family home in Oswestry belonging to a local businessman and his wife. When Jo Battams and her husband decided it was time to have a new kitchen they turned to Inspire Home Design.

Jo explains that they wanted a new kitchen which had the wow factor but also had a layout that was both practical and aesthetically pleasing ‘we wanted a design which would turn heads but as I love to spend time in the kitchen both to cook and chat to the family it needed to be practical.’

Jo visited the Inspire showroom on Maesbury Road to gather some ideas and to discuss with the Inspire team exactly what she had in mind. Inspire’s flagship showroom features over 300 square feet of simply stunning kitchen, bathroom and bedroom designs arranged in a room set style and designed to capture the imagination with the very latest in style, functionality and form. In total the showroom boasts over 30 displays of kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms as well as kitchen and bathroom taps, a wide range of sanitary ware, shower enclosures, shower heads, mixers & hoses and shower panels and boards.

‘Lauren at the showroom was brilliant, she gave us lots of ideas and things to think about and we arranged for her to measure up. During her visit we talked more about our tastes and what we’d like to see and our vision for the room’ explains Jo. ‘It was refreshing to speak to someone who had similar tastes and was able to turn our ideas into reality.’

After the visit Lauren, one of Inspire’s Design Consultants prepared several ideas and created 3D artists impression of the proposed new kitchen together with detailed plans and a budget.

‘We were over the moon with Lauren’s ideas and couldn’t wait to get the new kitchen installed.’ said Jo.

The installation was carried out by Mike one of Inspire’s approved installers. All of the company’s installers are time served craftsmen who really understand the importance of quality at every stage. So often the fishing touches are crucially important which is why the installation team at Inspire is so well trained.

The new kitchen took just over a week to install and Jo commented that Mike was outstanding in his work. Neil Jones, Inspire’s General Manager said ‘we often get complimented on our installation team, they are meticulous and leave the room in perfect condition, hoovered and cleaned and ready to go.’

The finished result didn’t disappoint, in fact it definitely had the wow factor and many of Jo’s friends were so impressed they said how envious they were.

‘The shiny gloss white contrasted beautifully with the dark Maia work surface. We chose Maia because it has the beauty and look of granite but is far more practical.’ says Jo.

Jo went on to say ‘I was particularly impressed with Inpsire’s flexibility as we changed our mind on one or two units the day before installation was due to commence and this was no problem as they accommodated all of our wishes, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough’

As well as providing the new kitchen Inspire also provided a new integrated dishwasher whilst retaining the existing Range cooker and blended it perfectly into the design of the kitchen.

The end result is a stunning kitchen that works on every level for the busy family, it provides a contemporary design whist allowing the most efficient way of space, particularly as much of their time is spent in the new kitchen - it has all the ingredients for happy family kitchen and an investment well made.
