Clare Hayward is a local business woman with her finger in many pies. She is chair of the Make It Macclesfield Economic Forum, an independent board member for Peaks and Plains Housing Trust and the chair of the Cocoon Theatre.

She is married to Simon and they have three teenage boys who, like mum and dad, love eating out, but they also like Clares many culinary creations

Rosanero Restaurant
83 Mill Street
Macclesfield, SK11 6NN
01625 511105

An amazing Italian with the best anti-pasta platter. Salvatore and team are always friendly and enthusiastic. I love the open kitchen and I like sitting at the high table where we eat the biggest garlic bread ever and watch our food being prepared. The team always look like they enjoy being there. Theres a great atmosphere, but do book if you want to go on a Friday or Saturday.

Prestbury Village Restaurant
New Rd, Prestbury,
Macclesfield,

I love it here for lots of reasons. Simon and I had our first meal in Cheshire here, we took Harry there when he was seven days old, sleeping under the table in his baby seat. We have had two clients arrive for dinner to declare they were having an affair. We have had parties, romance, laughs and fun here food is good quality and then there is Chris. Well, what can you say? Not only do you get good food, you have your very own Johnny Depp thrown in.

Fina Bar and Grill
11 Marketplace
Macclesfield SK10 1EB
01625 618744

Situated in the heart of Macclesfield, Fina is a family-run independent restaurant. Our boys love the pizza and pasta and the steaks are great. We have taken the rugby parents there for a quiet night out which resulted in much laughter, dancing and it turned out to be a very lively night! Theres such a warm welcome and theyre very flexible, whatever the clientele.

Oxo Tower Wharf
Barge House Street,
London, SE 19PH

I spend a lot of time in London and I like to soak in the atmosphere, but every now and again you want to have a look at the city from above and take it all in. I love the Oxos terrace, high above the Thames with the amazing view: the food is almost secondary yet its excellent. We run our seminars here. Ive had countless client meetings here and it never disappoints. Its busy, but what do you expect when youve got the best view in town?

Sams Chop House
Chapel Walks, Back Pool Fold
Manchester M2 1HN
0161 834 3210

I struggle to decide whether I like Sams best or Mr Thomass on Cross Street so I pop between the two. I love the down to earth, Britishness of the food and the atmosphere at both is warm and inviting. You can start with a business lunch and then wonder why its gone dark outside. These are two great places: informal with a lively atmosphere. Fabulous.
