Chocolate treats

The Chocolate Cellar’s reputation precedes them. Here you can expect incredible chocolates from talented chocolatier Bala Cronman, from Prenton, that would tempt those with even the strongest willpower. And Easter will be no exception. Expect exquisite eggs, brilliant bars and maybe even their wonderful hampers that are packed with chocolate treats.

A feast of food

Over the last decade the Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival has become a must attend Easter event, where every year the city welcomes people from across UK. Jean-Christophe Novelli joins this popular event as its headline chef. This fantastic event, which takes place at Chester Racecourse on April 15th – 17th, will also include the return of Gregg Wallace, who will judge the Junior Chef Competition. There will be free cooking classes for children from the Academy of Culinary Arts and an Easter Food Festival.

Baking greats

Join the Speckled Hen Cookery School in Holmes Chapel to learn how to make a range of treats on their Baking for Easter day course. Baker Carolyn Royle will teach you some lesser known recipes including Sedgemoor Easter Cakes, Koulourakia Easter Biscuits and Italian Easter breads. There is also a children’s course that teaches how to make hot cross bun muffins, carrot cupcakes, Easter biscuits and more.
